Rajasthan assembly election 2014 live streaming online

type='html'>
Rajasthan records highest-ever voter turnout at 74.38% in assembly elections 2014 according to the Election Commission of India (EC). This is nearly an 8% increase from the 2008 assembly elections where 66.49% voters exercised their franchise. “The polling on Sunday crossed the earlier record of 67.18% in the 2003 assembly elections,” Sudhir Tripathy, deputy election commissioner, told reporters. No major incidents of violence were reported during polling in the state on Sunday, Tripathy said. Polling on Sunday took place for 199 out of the 200 constituencies in Rajasthan. Churu legislative assembly seat could not go to polls as the candidate fielded from Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) had died.
The Congress and its chief minister in Rajasthan, Ashok Gehlot, is seeking a return to power, while Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) intends to topple the regime with its chief ministerial candidate in Vasundhara Raje. In the outgoing 200-member assembly, Congress has 96 seats while the BJP has 78 seats.

he 230 constituencies of Madhya Pradesh completed the 2014 assembly elections on 25th November 2014 with 70% voter turnout. The high-impact constituencies are Morena, Rewa, Gwalior, and Indore-5, and all eyes will be on December 8 when the resultss will be announced.
The current two-time chief minister, the BJP's Shivraj Singh Chouhan, is the running favourite to win for a third time. The same is being confirmed by opinion polls. This is being attributed to the fact that Chouhan has been responsible for the various infrastructure developments in the state, including roads and electricity.

The recent CNN-IBN-The Week survey, conducted by CSDS, claimed that BJP is likely to retain power by winning between 148 and 160 seats, with Congress securing between 52 and 62 seats.

The Congress is already dipping in terms of popularity, stung by the Election Commission verdict that ridiculed the Congress's request to "cover the prominent lotus ponds in regions such as Bundelkhand" as this could boas the elections in the favor of the BJP. The Commission called the statement an insult to the intelligence of the voters. However, there could be surprises if the young Congress brigade, led by Jyotiraditya Scindia, the party's campaign committee chairman in MP and Chhattisgarh, tilts the scales. To do so he would need to gain the confidence of the state farmers, who have been committing suicide on a worrisome scale; he would also need to convince the tribal communities that the Congress party can curb Naxalism and safeguard their interests.

Madhya Pradesh Election Results MP Live Update 2014

type='html'>Madhya Pradesh Election Results MP Live Update 2014 Bhopal: Leader of the Opposition in Madhya Pradesh Assembly, Ajay Singh today expressed confidence that Congress will win the state elections.

"I have been saying all along that Congress would win these (Assembly) elections and there is no change in my stand," Mr Singh told PTI.

The leader said there were several factors behind his confidence about a Congress win in the polls, held in the state on November 25. Despite tall claims made by Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan about development being undertaken during the 10 years of BJP rule, the condition of the state has worsened in all spheres, he claimed.

"The state leads in the number of rape cases, there has been severe malnutrition and there have been a large number of scams," Mr Singh said.

The state government is yet to give permission to the Lokayukta for taking action against ministers who have been charged with corruption, he said. The counting of votes for the state Assembly elections will be held on December 8.

While Congress has expressed confidence of a win, the state BJP-led government is also eying a hat-trick in the Assembly polls.
